GOTS Certified Companies in India

At VCI Exports, we are proud to be one of the GOTS certified companies in India. We strictly follow the rules and procedures of making certified organic cotton products and do it the best way. This certification also ensures that Organic and More practices ethical and sustainable processing and follows all the parameters set within the organization and its partners, making it a smooth and fruitful experience for all.

GOTS – Global Organic Textile Standard Certification is a standard that best indicates that the company makes certified and authentic organic cotton products in compliance with the required set criteria listed by GOTS. GOTS ensures that the product is organic and issues strict guidelines for the factory in terms of fair labour standards.

And to supply a GOTS-certified product, just the factory alone being certified under the GOTS is not enough. The entire value chain has to be approved. This means that every supplier to the factory would also be certified under the same organic and fair labour standards.

GOTS is a textile production certification that limits the use of toxic substances like bleaches, dyes, and other chemical treatments during the production of textiles. To obtain the GOTS “organic” label in India, a product must: Contain at least 95% organic fiber derived from nature.

  • GOTS Certified Organic textiles must be 95% organic in origin.
  • No Toxic chemicals used during textile processing, like formaldehyde, heavy metals, and brominated flame retardants.

To verify the authenticity of the GOTS label anyone can check the GOTS public database. It includes the list of all producers and products certified by GOTS label.

According to The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s organic certification requires that the cotton crop itself must be grown with organic practices with no chemicals used in cropping  (no GMOs and no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides).
